Inner listening

When something goes against your instinct you shouldn't do it. Especially when you'd already decided it would be unconstructive to say, do, or share something, and then out of nowhere arises the temptation to do it, you shouldn't. I'm not.

It's even more important that you follow that internal advice, when the timing of someone else's action practically prompted you to do it, which is something you found out after almost doing it and then deciding not to. Energy works that way.

You can have decided not to do something, and then suddenly get the idea to do it, and then explore the matter just a tad further, and then realize...hey wait, I wonder if that's what prompted the feeling inside me to be unconstructive. I wouldn't.

Finally, the self-control I've been looking for. I win.
